DS STREAM at FI Europe Paris: From Assortment Optimization to Responsible Agentic AI

FI Europe in Paris has officially wrapped up. It was an intense few days of conversations about how AI is moving beyond hype to become a real and measurable capability across FMCG and retail. A key highlight was Jakub Dubowik’s session on AI-driven assortment optimization. He demonstrated how brands can align shelf space with real consumer demand and translate data into better category decisions.

Across sessions and discussions one theme stood out clearly. AI is now influencing the full value chain including ingredient discovery, R&D direction and faster concept design. It also reshapes go-to-market execution and how consumers search or decide online. With that growing impact comes responsibility so topics like data quality, governance and transparency were equally present in the most valuable exchanges.

On-site in Paris the DS STREAM team held many insightful meetings and welcomed visitors.
